“A Merry Little Christmas Tree”

The Museum of the Apopkans is hosting the Annual Festival of Trees from November 25 to December 2, 2007.

Mayor Land will officiate the Lighting of the Trees on November 25 at 6:00 pm at the Museum where you can enjoy the beautiful Christmas decorations, purchase your Christmas needs at our Museum Gift Shop or our special Santa’s Gift Shop. Christmas plants, baked goods, potato cookbooks, T-shirts are only some of the items available. Enjoy live Christmas carolers while viewing themed holiday dinner table settings.

Please come and bid on your favorite tree. The bidding can be done all week Monday thru Sunday. These trees and wreaths are breathtaking and are great as a gift, a second (or third) tree in your home, a holiday wall or window decoration, or your own unique way of celebrating Christmas. Tickets for door prizes and drawings will be sold throughout the week. Recognition will be given with first, second, and third place ribbons, Most original theme, most traditional theme, and peoples choice.

The Awards Presentation and drawings will be held on December 2 at 6:00 pm. Come prepared to take home the tree or wreath that you won.

The Museum has many goals, e.g. a new facility, scholarships, historical preservation, and video. To help in these endeavors the Apopka Historical Society also welcomes donations.
